Richard is a member of the firm's real estate group, working out of our London office.
Covering most aspects of property and property related work, Richard's clients include: landowners seeking to realise or maximise the value of their land holdings; investors who want to make sound investments and sound management decisions about their property assets; developers who need to know and understand the steps they will need to go through to transform a development prospect into a finished product which they can sell to occupiers and investors (or even when a prospect is impractical); and users of property whose main interest is not the ownership of property for itself, but for whom use of property assets is an essential means to carry on their businesses.
Richard's experience encompasses R&D property, technology and science parks, in- and out-of-town shopping developments, offices, industrial and also high-end residential property, as well as landed estates, stadiums and listed buildings.
"With many years of experience working as a real estate lawyer, I have encountered most of the problems and difficulties in the property market, and have worked in a variety of economic climates, from boom to bust and somewhere in the middle. I regularly work as part of a larger team with my clients’ other advisers, from accountants and tax-planners through surveyors and valuers to building contractors and design professionals.
