Ian has worked at the firm since qualification, and is head of the banking & insolvency team. He deals with a wide range of corporate and funding matters. Ian also leads the advisory teams across the firm for a number of major banking and corporate clients, and has a particular focus on complex funding structures and transactions.
Ian has played a key role over the years in many leading corporate transactions, including funding for public to private transactions and public take overs. Highlights including acting for a Passenger Transport Executive in connection with the development of a light rail network, and leading the team preparing a report on behalf of eleven banks to the OFT on the Transfer of Security in the SME sector.
Ian also works extensively on corporate workouts and formal insolvency processes, as well as advising funders' companies and trustees on funding and other issues in connection with liabilities for deficits on pension funds.
