Andrew leads the firm’s Energy & Climate Change practice, and became the firm's Senior Partner in January 2010. A corporate lawyer by training, and a partner in the firm since 1994, he has been specialising in the energy and water sectors for many years. His clients range from renewable developers and their financiers to global utility companies.
"With the convergence of energy policy and climate change initiatives, I have enjoyed a role helping to develop many of the firm’s practice groups in areas such as renewable power projects, sustainable buildings and energy efficiency schemes, carbon trading and compliance, energy metering and clean technology.
"I have also led the firm’s contribution as founder member of the Legal Sector Alliance, an inclusive movement of law firms and organisations working collaboratively to take action on climate by reducing their carbon footprint and adopting environmentally sustainable practices."
Andrew is a member of Business in the Community's West Midlands Regional Leadership Board, and chairs the West Midlands Climate Change Leaders Group. He serves on the trustee board of Birmingham University’s Guild of Students as an alumni trustee. Andrew has been a business columnist and blogger at the Birmingham Post since April 2009.
