Experience

A wide range of corporate and commercial experience but with particular specialism in corporate finance. This involves regularly advising clients on such matters as share and asset disposals and acquisitions, reorganisations, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements. Recent experience includes advising in relation to and leading the legal teams on:

• £4m MBO of Marcroft Engineering Limited from the TUI Group which involved complex funding and commercial issues
• £9m disposal of Oakland Elevators Limited to Otis Limited on behalf of Booth Industries Group plc
• Acquisition of William Hollins & Co Limited comprising the Viyella brand and shops
• Company secretary for numerous clients, providing a full range of company secretarial services
• Project managing the MBO of Back Group Limited, initiated by myself, introducing clients to funders and corporate finance providers
• Acquisition of Froude Hofmann and Bridon Wire Special Steels businesses from FKI plc for £2.5m
• £12m disposal of Traffic Signals UK Limited to telent plc
• £8m acquisition of Todd & Duncan business from Dawson International plc, for listed Chinese company
