Michael is a partner in our construction team and a recognised expert in construction law (Chambers) . He is also a lead member of our equine law team.

His construction work involves responsibility for contentious construction matters, i.e. claims and disputes arising out of building and civil engineering projects. His expertise covers all aspects of dispute resolution including mediation, expert determination, adjudication, arbitration and litigation. He has advised on many major disputes including international ones. He is an accredited mediator.

He also advises in respect of non-contentious projects including forms of building contract, professional appointments and security documentation. He has advised on a number of major PFI health projects. He is currently advising on a number of education projects.

In addition to his construction practice, Michael is a lead member of our equine law team advising on claims for breach of contract, negligence and under the Animals Act etc. He also advises on projects involving the development of equestrian centres.
