Ian is the head of our banking & insolvency team.
He deals with a wide range of corporate and funding matters.
He leads the advisory teams across the firm
for a number of major banking and corporate clients and has a
particular focus on complex structures and transactions. Among the matters on which Ian has taken a leading role are:
funding for public to private transactions, other public take
overs and corporate and property transactions; acting for a Passenger
Transport Executive in the development of a light rail network
including advising on leasing arrangements; advising funders'
companies and trustees on funding and other issues in connection
with liabilities for deficits on pension funds; leading the team
preparing a report on behalf of eleven banks to the OFT on the
Transfer of Security in the SME sector; corporate workouts and
formal insolvency processes.
