David, a former managing partner of the firm, heads up the firm’s Charities Practice. He is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer having spent much of his career specialising in mergers and acquisitions. He continues as a member of that team.

In recent years he has increasingly advised clients in the education and charities sectors.

David has experience in advising on a range of governance issues (including conflicts of interest), the formation and registration of charities (particularly those incorporated as companies), the use of subsidiary trading companies for tax and gift aid purposes, charity mergers and public benefit issues.

David is a member of the Charity Law Association.
