We act for a number of technology companies in
the telecomms, information technology and life sciences sectors.
Although it has been a difficult period recently, companies with
enabling technologies and those with sound business plans have
continued to attract sizeable funding. All companies need to
continually protect their IPR in every agreement they enter into
in order to be sure of being "clean" when the funding
does come in. We seek to be proactive in ensuring that companies
are ready for investment/trade sale or IPO. We do this by offering
to act as company secretary and therefore provide high level
legal advice at board level, as well as using the knowledge gained
about the company’s business drivers to ensure that its
legal documents are sensible and commercial. We act for a number of funds
and are additionally able to offer the benefit of our experience
in knowing
what they
look for in prospective investments as well as introductions
to the money in those funds. Key clients are:

IP in the field of cancer biomarkers

Recently we have helped Cambridge Broadband Limited with funding
of $15m, helped a Software company create a world beating high
value product by way of a joint venture with another company
and helped an intelligent tag company with funding by way of
