other sectors: Pfi/projects
We take the view that the levering in of private sector resource
and funding to the provision of public services is here to stay,
and we committed ourselves to the Government’s Private
Finance Initiative from its very early days, having for instance
acted for the successful bid consortium on the first grouped
schools pfi project to complete in England. Since then, members of our projects team have played a leading
role in key pfi/ppp projects in almost every sector, particularly
education, health, police, transport, waste and defence. Our current projects include:
- acting for a County Council on a significant grouped
schools project
- acting for a number of FE and HE institutions
on the provision of new facilities and student accommodation

- acting for a passenger transport executive on two
light rail pfi projects

and with over 20 lawyers possessing every area of legal expertise
likely to be
necessary for the successful delivery of major projects, our
projects team has
the experience, expertise and depth of resource to advise public
bodies, bid consortia and funders on the most
challenging of projects, and we can provide partner led, City
quality of service at regional rates.
