expertise: corporate

public companies
We
know how important it is not only to stay up-to-date with changes
that have happened but also to be in a position to plan for those
that are going to happen. One of our plc team sits on the Law
Society Company Law Committee (which is consulted on proposed
changes) and this is just one of the ways in which we are able
to stay in touch with developments to the benefit of our clients
- which include some of the largest Birmingham-based plcs. Our work
includes:
- companies
act, purple book and blue book advice
- corporate
re-structuring
- listings
and de-listings
- compliance
and company secretary support
We regularly
advise public companies on capital raising, acquisitions, reconstructions
and on benchmarks of best practice on corporate governance. We also convene regular meetings of The VCT Directors' Club so that directors of all VCTs can discuss current topics and share their knowledge and experiences. The last meeting of the Club was 10 March 2006 at the London Stock Exchange and included presentations from Eleanor Mack, the Head of the HM Treasury Enterprise Team, Daniel Godfrey the Director General of the Association of Investment Trust Companies (AITC) and Malcolm White, the Head of VCT Policy at HMRC. We also
advise growth companies and their sponsors on flotation and listing
on AIM and the main market of the London Stock Exchange. key expertise: Roger
